This year our World Sight day was on October 3rd, 2011. Okotoks Eyecare is donating all eye exam fees to this worthy charity.
Optometry Giving Sight is an organization whose purpose is "to improve the quality of life of people who are needlessly blind or vision impaired simply because they do not have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses". They currently have projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
We encourage all of our patients to join us in donating to this cause.
We would like to thank Starbucks Okotoks for their contribution of refreshments and snacks. Combining the donations for morning and afternoon tea, we are able to give more than 300 people in less priveledged countries, their eye exam and also a new pair of glasses.
