Meet Our Team

Barb Goettler has been a Licensed Optician and Contact Lens Fitter for 30 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to the office, from frame selection, contact lens fitting, lab work, soldering and buying of product. She is an important member of a great team.

In 1980, Sharon worked for Ophthalmologists for six years in Australia. After moving to Canada, she joined Okotoks Optometry Centre, now known as Okotoks Eyecare. In 2004 Sharon became a CCOA - Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant. Presently, she is our Lab Technician, ordering patient lenses, and edging them into frames. Sharon has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to this practice which includes, Front Reception, frame selection, lens selection and more.

Tracy was welcomed to our team in 2005. In 2008, she completed her optical science schooling and became a Licensed Optician.  Tracy brings a bright, bubbly personality to our office, and is a great addition.

Lisa became a Licensed Optician in 2004 and joined our office in 2006. She brings her experience, and her professional skills shine through in fun personality.  Lisa also does contact lens fittings. Professional, personal patient care is her goal, and to have every patient leaving the office with a smile.

In January 2008 Kim started working in the optical field, and became a CCOA -Certified Optometric Assistant the following year.  Her knowledge and enthusiasm greatly enhance every patient's visit to our office.  Her responsibilities include pre-testing of patients, contact lens fittings, and ensuring the proper eyewear for each individual.  Kim enjoys what she does and is more than happy to help you with any of your vision needs. 

Jackie is the newest member of the Okotoks Eyecare Team.  She has recently completed a course on Optomap Retinal Imaging and has been awarded a certified operator grade.  In addition, Jackie completed her CCOA - Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant course in 2011.  Jackie's friendly attitude and attention to detail are an asset to the office.  She looks forward to meeting each and every one of you. 

Susan started her professional career 4 years ago, right here at Okotoks Eyecare.  A team player, she enjoys multi-tasking with emphasis on providing excellent patient care, education and service.  As a Licensed Optician and CCOA - Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant, Susan would love to assist you; From reception, on-line insurance claims, high-tech pretesting, and frame selection to dispensing high quality products.

Sarah is the newest member of our team, starting at our office in June 2011. Becoming a Certified Optometric Assistant in 2012, is Sarah's goal.  For now she is enjoying Pre-testing patients and is excited to learn more in the field of Optometry, as she gains more experience.
